With campuses in Tucson, Phoenix, and N. Las Vegas, Southwest Truck Driver Training will not only train you to pass your Commercial Driver's License (CDL) test, but will also train you to become the type of professional driver companies are looking for today.


State Cerified Training in Arizona and Nevada.

Southwest Truck Driver Training is licensed by the Arizona Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Division and Nevada Department for Motor Vehicles for Class A, B, C, and Bus Training, and employ 3rd Party Testers for on-site CDL testing.

Our programs are approved by the Arizona Workforce Investment Act, Arizona Department of Economic Security, Department of Vocational Rehabilitation Services, Arizona Department of Education, U.S. Vets, Maricopa Workforce Connection, Phoenix Workforce Connection, the City of Phoenix, Friendly House, and the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Bridge Counseling, Nevada Partners, Job Connect, as well as other agencies in the outlying areas of Arizona and Nevada.

Southwest Truck Driver Training Philosophy

The Student Is:

  • The most important person on the campus. Without them, there would be no need for the training center.
  • Not a cold enrollment statistic, but a flesh and blood human being with feelings and emotions like our own.
  • Not someone to be tolerated so that we can do our thing, they are our thing.
  • They are not dependent on us; rather, we are dependent on them.

In 1999, Gary P. Williams unlocked the doors to Southwest Truck Driver Training for the very first time, with just a handful of family members and friends to help in getting the school rolling. Since then, Southwest has built a good reputation throughout Arizona, Nevada and the local community - as well as with employers. Southwest has locations in Tucson, Phoenix, and N. Las Vegas, with plans of expanding into other areas.


Where We Are Now

We here at SWTDT not only strive to provide a quality training program to our Nations Hero’s but, we also have numerous Veterans on our corporate and campus staffs.  Our Veterans have been where you have been and are experienced not only within the trucking industry but,  serving in Uniform as well.  We are familiar with the unique challenges that Veterans experience and strive to guide our Nation’s Hero’s through these challenges at every step of the way.  Our students are and always will be our first priority.
